Join them on Saturday, April 3rd, for Bunnies & Butterflies, where your littles will get to learn about the science of bubbles, the life of a beekeeper, gardening activities, and so much more. There will also be live bunnies, perfect for petting. To our Inspiration family out in or near Meridian, you’ll want to hop on over to the Mississippi Children’s Museum’s newest location right in the heart of your city. The Mississippi Children’s Museum Meridian is officially open to the public, so you and the whole family can enjoy all the interactive fun MCM has carefully laid out. Both the outdoor and indoor experiences are carefully crafted to enlighten and inspire kids from all over. The new exhibits include a Brainiac Climber that teaches students how the brain works, and there’s also a Fantastical Backyard that encourages children to unleash their imaginations. O C E A N S P R I N G S , M I S S I S S I P P I If you’re looking to celebrate the culture and beauty of our state, then look no further than the Ocean Springs Arts Festival. Set up in the heart of Ocean Springs, you’ll find over 130 vendors with their art on full display. The streets will be lined with booth after booth of florals, crafts, and art. You’ll find everything from woodworking, to metalsmithing, to candlemaking and so much more. There are even artist demonstrations that allow you to watch these craftsmen and women doing their thing. It’s going to be a memory-making weekend, so be sure to head out to the 28th Ocean Springs Spring Art Festival! S T A R K V I L L E , M I S S I S S I P P I The sisters of Delta Gamma at Mississippi State University are getting together to do what they do best, support a sister in need. They are dedicating this whole week to raising money for Avery Douglass, a Senior at MSU who was recently diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Sweet Avery learned of her diagnosis this past December, and despite the diagnosis, the 22-year-old has remained positive. In the face of cancer and treatment, she has smiled, laughed, and leaned into her incredible family and community.
R I D G E L A N D , M I S S I S S I P P I Something just didn’t sit right about letting another year pass without having a proper St. Patrick’s Day celebration. Malcolm White of Hal and Mal’s and Renaissance at Colony Park have joined forces to bring us a celebration of spring and everyone’s favorite green holiday. This impromptu Second Line March will take place this Saturday, March 20th, and will include costumes, flowers, beads, kazoos and of course the Epic Brass Band. The event will start and finish at the green space by Malco Renaissance Cinema Grill & Bar, followed by a performance by Epic Funk Brass Band on the Show Fountain Stage. Ice and Vice is one of the newest dessert shops to open in Madison, Mississippi, and they specialize in frozen yogurt (ice) and coffee (vice) among other delicious treats. Each week they’re whipping up classic flavors as well as some custom, some sugar-free, and some vegan. Trust us, they are all delicious.
