​Happy Thursday y’all! In less than two months, on Friday March 1st, the Jackson Symphony League will be hosting their annual Gala for “An Enchanted Evening”. The 2024 Jackson Symphony League Gala will be held at The Old Capitol Inn in downtown Jackson to benefit the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra.
 
Since 1955, the Jackson Symphony League has been supporting and contributing to the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra through education, information, and fundraising events. Each spring, the JSL hosts an annual Gala to celebrate the success of their previous fall season that also is the largest fundraiser event for the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra.
 
The night of the Gala consists of an auction sponsored by local businesses, a fabulous dinner, and an evening full of live entertainment and dancing! What also makes the night so special is 55 of the proceeds go directly to Eddie Hodges Scholarship Fund Trust. Education is one of the most valuable components to the JSL so it is such an honor to be able to grant students with the Eddie Hodges Scholarship Fund Trust.

On March 2nd, the annual Jackson Food & Wine Festival is coming back to town for a day full of trying new food and tasting fabulous wines. This event is a fan-favorite amongst our community because it is a way to support all the local vendors participating and is a fun experience to share with family and friends.
 
The Jackson Food & Wine Festival will feature 20 local and regional chefs, along with beverages, and live music. The main goal of the festival is for everyone to experience our Southern culture through food and beverages. It also creates amazing opportunities for local and regional vendors to share their craft and what they put their heart and soul into.
 
What also makes the Jackson Food & Wine festival so special is a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Mississippi Restaurant Association Education Foundation. This helps fund scholarships to Mississippi students who are wanting to pursue a degree in restaurant management or culinary arts.
