What could make a fun run more fun? How about running with your favorite fluff by your side. The District at Eastover, in partnership with Fleet Feet and Chipper & Coco Pet Shop, is hosting their first-ever Furry Fun Run. This is a 5k walk or jog that allows the perfect running partners, your dogs. The pet-friend 5K includes live music, food, and drinks on the green. So even if you’re not the fun run type, you can hang out and enjoy the puppy passers-by. The race begins promptly at 6 and is free to participate. Runners and walkers even get a complimentary beer courtesy of Southern Beverage Co. The Furry Fun Run takes place Thursday, September 2nd at the District at Eastover in Jackson, MS. The Mississippi Children’s Museum Jackson is shaking things up as we head into fall with their new program Tinker With Tuesdays. Tinker with Tuesdays is a hands-on approach to science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM). Sponsored by Georgia-Pacific, this program equips kids with the tools needed to further develop their critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Tinker With Tuesdays are interactive, educational, and so much fun! Did we mention they are happening every Tuesday beginning at 3:30? It’s the perfect mid-week activity for your littles! A Music Festival for the Whole Family

Summer has wound down but there’s no shortage of fun things to do with the whole family including the Red Brick Roads Music and Arts Festival in Clinton, MS. RBR is a fun immersive experience designed with the whole family in mind and is a celebration of Mississippi arts, beats, brews, and more. At this year’s festival, you’ll find an exceptional lineup of singer/songwriters surrounded by a craft market, a variety of craft beer, and some of your favorite local eats. The two-day event also includes a talent competition and a homebrew competition.
