The Mississippi State Fair has been coming to Jackson for years up years and continues to surprise the whole community with all of the fun and unique that make up the fair itself. Advanced tickets are on presale now and can be purchased at the Coliseum Box Office until 11:00 A.M. on October the 5th. Advanced admission includes six tickets along with a parking pass, which is a $35.00 value but only going for $25.00.
If you are unable to prepurchase your tickets or decide to go last minute, general admission is only $5.00 and can be bought at the entry gates of the fair. Children under five years old will receive free admission throughout the entire event. Transportation will also be provided for only $4.00 a person or there will be serval parking lots surrounding the fair grounds. However, admission will be free for all ages form 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M during the week only!
The Mississippi State Fair will consist of not only exciting and thrilling rides but there will be tons of delicious food and food trucks along with live entertainment. Josh Turner, Cupid Line Dance Experience, Ernest, and The Commodores are a few of the artists who will be performing at the Coliseum. There will also be exhibits including an antique car show, a floral show, a food preservation show, and an arts and crafts show. There is something for all ages and all interest so making the Mississippi State Fair a family-friendly event for everyone.
Gates to the fair will be open form 11:00 A.M. during the week, 9:00 A.M on Saturdays, and 10:00 A.M. on Sundays. Gates will close at midnight Monday through Saturday and will close at 10:00 P.M. on Sundays. Each day is jammed-packed with a full schedule of activities, exhibits, and entertainment along with vendors being open throughout the entire day.
