After getting injured playing for the Washington Redskins, Mike had a decision to make. "When the phone wasn't ringing, I knew that I had to either work out for a living hoping to try and get on a team or use my brain and make a living." he recalls. Mike knew that his love for helping people and want to give back to the community would lead to his career now. As an athlete, Mike traveled outside of Mississippi to get the kind of professional training that he now provides. His certifications include USAW, CPT, PES, and he's working on his CSCS. "I love for people to come to me with goals and we tackle them together. I love watching my athletes pursue their dreams. People don't really know about the blood, sweat and tears it takes to making dreams a reality. It's gratifying and satisfying to see it come to fruition." smiles Mike.
When asked about living and working in Mississippi, Mike said "I love Mississippi. This is my state, my home. I love giving back to the community for which I'm from, helping expand kid's minds to letting them know it's a bigger world out there."
