Good morning and happy Thursday y’all! Today I wanted to inspire y’all by sharing all the fun and family friendly events that will be going on this weekend! The Fourth of July is just five days away, so it is time to get ready and celebrate our country!
Happy Tuesday y’all! Today we are inspiring new brides to be, mothers of the bride or groom, and all bridesmaids! It is time to get inspired with the Bridal Path, which is a local bridal shop currently in Jackson, Mississippi. The Bridal Path has been a fan favorite to brides in the south for the past fifty years. What makes this bridal shop so unique is that mother and grandmothers of current brides found their dream dress at the Bridal Path as well which creates that family tradition and makes the process that much more special. We are so excited to share all about The Bridal Path and all that they do!
The Bridal Path team is not just a family within their four walls, but they are also a family outside of their work. The Jarvis girls are a mother and daughter trio who get to share their passion together every day! Audrey Jarvis McCarty has been in love with the idea of helping brides find their dream dress since she was a little girl. Audrey and her sister Amelia started their journey with styling brides during their summers and holidays when they were in high school. Being able to play a small part in their bride’s journey and seeing their face light up when they found the dress made Audrey wan to pursue a degree in Fashion Design and Merchandising. Their mother, Janie, helps create that family tradition of carrying on The Bridal Path’s legacy but with a more modern dream for brides! Between all their hard work and prayers, The Bridal Path has become a place of laughter and love for brides to come to and feel celebrated as she continues down her journey to marriage. The Jarvis girl's mission is to provide an unforgettable experience as well as a curated selection of gowns for all brides. The Bridal Path offers many services outside of helping a bride find and style her perfect dress. One service that they offer is in house alterations and steaming for brides, mothers, and maids of honor. Their alteration service is a la carte and is only for those who purchase a gown with them. However, they do offer alteration services to those who purchase a gown outside of their bridal shop. Their seamstress has over 50 years of experience and loves nothing more than to be with you from the start of your gown process to the end. Once the dress is finishes with alterations, it is then steamed to perfection. The Bridal Path has been sending their bride's dresses to the Wedding Gown Preservation Company for over fifty years! This is a special way for the memories of their wedding day to be created into an heirloom that they will have forever. They pride themselves on their cleaning methods too so that one day, your daughter or granddaughter can potentially wear your wedding dress and carry on that tradition! The Bridal Path is a personal favorite because of their amazing work and how much they put their heart and soul into helping find their brides the dress of their dreams. Make sure to check out The Bridal Path on Instagram at thebridalpath and to also check out their website for more information regarding their services and booking an appointment. And remember to get inspired y’all! Good morning y’all! Today I wanted to not only inspire my adult audience, but I also wanted to inspire children as well! We are going to be talking about the Mississippi Children’s Museum in Jackson! The Mississippi Children’s Museum is a personal favorite of mine because they always have so much to offer, especially in the summer! They constantly are trying to engage children with their jam-packed schedule. It really is a place where kids can go to be creative and feel stimulated.
As mentioned earlier, the Mississippi Children’s Museum has a busy and full calendar in the summer. For example, every week they have themed days every day including Magic Monday, Tech Tuesday, Wonder Wednesday, Thinker Thursday, and Fun Friday. They also have a book club called Rocky’s Book Club every Tuesday and Thursday, Know to Grow on Saturdays and Art Smart on Sundays. These are just a few of the things that they have to offer on top of other programs, exhibits, and weekend events. The museum has a few programs to offer, including World at Work, Exploring Mississippi, the Literacy Garden, Pollinator’s Playground, and Wild About Reading. Within each of these programs are interactive activities to get the kids involved and eager to learn by teaching them different techniques and ways of learning. The Mississippi Children’s Museum also has seasonal exhibits like Splash and Bubbles: Dive in, Lend a Fin, which is in the summer and Journey to the North Pole around the holidays. The summer exhibit has been open since May 20th and will be going on until September 4th. They also have sensory days, one being on June 27th, for children with sensory difficulties to come and enjoy the museum in a new light. The Mississippi Children’s Museum really has a ton to offer for children through the summer and school year. You can buy tickets as you please or you can buy one of their membership packages. They also have opportunities for adults or older children to become involved and volunteer! Make sure to check out their website at mschildrensmuseum.org for more information on dates and tickets and always remember to get inspired! JACKSON, MISSISSIPPIHappy Thursday y’all!
