They are continuing their Twilight Concert series with a big show this weekend. Renaissance has partnered with Cutwater Spirits to bring the Revivalists, Dumpstaphunk, and more to the green on Friday, July 30th. The concert is general admission, rain or shine, and gates open at 5. The show will be on the green so there is plenty of room to spread out and jam the night away. It’s not too late to get tickets! Every Tuesday in July and August, local farmers will be setting up shop in the middle of Old Towne Clinton. Fresh at Five features a variety of seasonal produce, milk and cheese, farm-fresh eggs, and much more! So as the sunsets and the evenings cool you can take a stroll down Jefferson Street and peruse all the delicious things each vendor has to offer all while listening to some local music. P H I L A D E L P H I A , M I S S I S S I P P I The Neshoba County fair is back! 2020 may have held off this classic Mississippi event, but after some planning, they are ready to welcome back guests. Never heard of the Neshoba County Fair? Well, we have all the details for you! The NCF is an annual event of agricultural, political, and social entertainment that started in 1889. Now nicknamed “Mississippi’s Giant House Party” it consists of 60 acres of food, fun, politics, friends, and family. There’s every fried treat your heart could possibly desire and a musical lineup that will have and your friends jamming all night long. There’s also tons of entertainment from the Miss Neshoba County Fair pageant to the political speeches to the horse races. There is no shortage of things to do the week of the fair. You can camp out or make a day trip to partake in the festivities. All headlining artists and speakers have been announced, so all you have to do is plan the day or days you want to bring your crew. Mark your calendars for July 18th for the first-ever Mississippi Japan Festival at the Mississippi Museum of Art. Hosted by the Japanese Outreach Initiative (JOI), the Mississippi Japan Festival provides a fully immersive cultral experience for visitors. There will be special performances from dancers, drummers, and martial artists. The halls will be lined with vendors toting authentic Japanese goods and there will be plenty of interactive exhibits from Japanese calligraphy to origami and so much more.
