Small, intimate weddings are often some of the most breathtaking. "I wanted my wedding to feel like the perfect backyard garden party," smiles bride Kate. Kate and Justin are both artists and incorporated their talent into elements of their celebration. Inspired by the bride's own garden, unique florals added a touch of whimsy. "I wanted the arrangements to be playful and whimsical, yet sophisticated and rich with fall colors," says Kate. Kate's gown also reflected her bold, unique sense of style. Every element of this celebration came together to create an unforgettable, intimate affair for the couple and their closest friends and family. We're pumped that it's a short work-week and even more pumped to be featuring today's wedding! Jenna Rose and Christopher's wedding is one for the books... it's completely dreamy, stunning, unique, and pouring with inspiration! Keep reading for their story and keep scrolling for gorgeous pictures of their day. Bride: Virginia Rose Koon (Jenna Rose) Groom: Christopher Alexander Vasquez Hometown: Tupelo, MS {Tell me a little about you and your husband… How did the two of you meet?} Christopher and I are both from Tupelo, MS but did not meet until after high school. We met through mutual friends and once we started to get to know each other we became inseparable. We love traveling, seeing live music, and eating good food. On April 26 , 2017 Christopher proposed on the balcony of The Graduate in Oxford, MS. We had already planned to have a big dinner with our closest friends before heading off to see our favorite band at The Lyric that night but little did I know he had more planned for us. After he proposed I looked and saw all our friends and family on the balcony celebrating with us. I was in complete shock. It was magical. {What did you use as your main inspiration for planning your wedding?} My main inspiration for the wedding was anything vintage/boho style. I love old furniture so I knew I wanted to incorporate cool sitting areas around the wedding venue and rugs with vibrant colors and patterns. Not everything had to match for us. We wanted it to flow but for it to have a different vibe than any other wedding. It wasn’t anything fancy. We wanted to focus on us and the people surrounding us. {What inspired your color scheme/theme/flowers?} I utilized Pinterest a lot to figure out the color scheme. Navy, cranberry, blush pink, and gold, were the main colors I knew I wanted to use for the wedding. {What was your favorite part of the wedding planning process?} My favorite part of wedding planning was spending that time with my mom. She made things a million times easier for us. There is so much that goes into planning a wedding and it can get stressful so we are very thankful she was there through it all. It was special getting to do that with her. She is the absolute best. {Besides the actual wedding, what was your favorite moment of the wedding day?} Besides the actual wedding, my favorite moment of the day was getting ready at my great-grandmother’s house. It’s an old brick home filled with beautiful vintage antiques. That place means so much to me. Getting dressed at Mamaw’s put me in a calm and beautiful environment which helped me get through the biggest day of my life. {What was your favorite surprise detail/moment about your wedding day? What made it special?} Christopher had groomsmen bring me gifts throughout the day that had notes attached to each gift. Each time they would bring me one I was just as surprised as the first. His letters kept me calm and made me excited for what was to come that day! Those moments were so special to me. "Instead of a big exit we took a massive group picture with everyone. The band went second line style and started their show in the actual lodge and went on to the outside stage. They took the celebration to the next level. We just wanted to celebrate our love with everyone. It was truly an amazing day."
