What is the census? It's a tool used to count every person living in the United States. It's updated every 10 years.
Why does the census matter? Simply put, it determines the amount of funding (billions of dollars) that states get to distribute throughout the communities for things such as schools, roads, clinics, affordable housing, and much much more. It also determines the number of seats each state will have in the U.S. House of Representatives!
Am I required to fill it out? Yes. It is required by law.
How do I fill it out? Go to 2020census.gov and respond there. (It can also be filled out via phone and mail.)
