Throughout the wedding planning process, the high school sweethearts were very intentional about including elements in their big day that not only reflected their relationship with each other but also reflected their relationships with their families, friends, and the Lord. Their ceremony was set to the tune of their favorite worship songs. The reception, held at Reunion Golf and Country Club, featured a memory table filled with photos and keepsakes from the weddings of the generations before them. The McCarty’s capped off the day surrounded by their loved ones dancing non-stop to the couple’s favorite jams. “It was the most magical day ever,” remembers Audrey. “The only thing better than our wedding day is actually being married to my best friend!”
M A D I S O N , M I S S I S S I P P I Audrey Jarvis and Gage McCarty had been in school together since kindergarten, but it wasn’t until their sophomore year in high school that they crossed paths and became friends. Each day the two would catch rides to school together with a mutual friend. “I spent my days ignoring sweet Gage in the car while I spent my nights praying for my future husband,” Audrey reflects. “Little did I know he was sitting in the car right next to me!” Two years later the two started dating and have been inseparable since. “We were so fortunate to spend the rest of high school and our college years side by side, and we knew that was the way we wanted to spend the rest of our lives.” Throughout the wedding planning process, the high school sweethearts were very intentional about including elements in their big day that not only reflected their relationship with each other but also reflected their relationships with their families, friends, and the Lord.
