In just a few weeks the Mississippi Book Festival will be taking its place on the state capitol grounds. This year they are going all in with hundreds of visiting authors, panel discussions, book signings, booksellers, Capitol tours, food trucks, and loads of family-friendly activities. There will be something for each member of your family or friend group.
Still, don’t know what to expect? Well, at the last festival there were 47 official panel discussions and activities at 10 different venues. They also had hundreds of local and national authors on the grounds ready to meet and greet fans and new readers alike. It’s kind of a big deal, and the literary advocates behind this great event want YOU there. The 7th annual literary lawn party takes place on August 21st in Jackson, so mark your calendars and let your friends know that you’re booked that day (see what we did there)!
