T U P E L O , M I S S I S S I P P I Y’all know we love to see people giving back and serving the community. We recently discovered a great outreach opportunity on wheels! Mobile Manna, developed by Randy Davis of Tupelo, is a food truck-style ministry that provides quality, upscale meals to those in need. The whole concept was birthed from Davis’s desire to give back to the community, and a nudge or two from God. “For the longest time I felt this call to do something,” Davis shared with the Daily Journal. “The feeling got stronger and stronger, and one morning I woke up, turned to my wife, and said, ‘I want to do a food truck. I don’t know how, but I know I want to do it.’ It was as clear as a picture.” Months later Mobile Manna was born and this moving ministry took shape. They’ve since held three events and served 580 hot meals. They’ve served a variety of cuisines from brunch to barbeque! Mobile Manna has whipped up shrimp and grits, ribs, chicken and waffles, Philly cheesesteaks, and more. Needless to say, Davis and his team are filling stomachs all while showing the Love of God to each individual who serves and attends. “It’s exciting because we all need love, and we’re all going through stuff in life, whether it’s hunger and homelessness, or whether it’s someone who has the biggest house in town, but their relationships are in trouble,” Davis said. “We all need each other, and we all need Christ.”
