Joseph, originally from New Orleans, and Rachael, a huge fan, knew that their love for the great city had to be incorporated into their wedding day. The two of them chose Galloway United Methodist Church in downtown Jackson for their ceremony. They both knew they wanted to marry in a church and fell in love with Galloway's old charm and cathedral feel. It also has a gorgeous lighted cross at the alter that they both loved. For the reception, the two of them chose the Old Capitol Inn. The site gives off the perfect New Orleans vibe they were looking for with it's gorgeous courtyard, black awnings and beautiful black iron railing. Not to mention, Chef Cain's specialty is cajun food! Check out some of our favorite shots of their wedding day captured by David Legg Photography. Planning was easy for Rachael and Joseph as far as details were concerned. For flowers, Rachael knew she loved anything simple, classic and elegant and went with a gorgeous combination of white hydrangea, vendella roses, and lambs ear. The food would be cajun and that just so happened to be their Chef's specialty! But finding the perfect dress was no easy task. Rachael tried on 25+ gowns of all different fabrics, styles and designers, before she found the stunning gown she chose. She fell in love with it instantly! Rachael's favorite accessory was the vintage broach that accented the stem of her bouquet. The broach was given to her by her mother who wanted to start a family tradition and have Rachael pass it along to her children one day.
