On Thursday November 16th, Kendall Poole Ellis is teaming up with His Heart Ministries to start a new community tradition at Reunion Beach in Madison, MS. Thankful Thursday Food Drive is a way to bring everyone together to help give Thanksgiving dinners back to families in the Jackson area.
His Heart Ministries is a non-profit organization in Jackson, MS that is able to feed over 80 families every year at Thanksgiving. They do amazing work all year round to build strong community relationships through faith, love, hope, and friendship.
Thankful Thursday is a family-friendly event where those can bring canned food or non-perishables to ensure that families in the Jackson area can enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner with their loved ones. The food drive will begin at 5:00 P.M. at Reunion Beach with a movie showing of Free Birds. There will also be several food trucks like Mo’Betta Dessert Bar and Red Zone Express.
Please join us next Thursday for night full of family fun and reminders as to what we are thankful for. It is also asked that you bring your own chairs and blankets to enjoy a movie night on the beach. The goal is to collect 350 cans of food as His Heart Ministries will be providing the turkeys so please make sure to bring plenty of canned goods as that is the main purpose of Thankful Thursday!
