Happy Thursday y’all! For today’s blog I wanted to share some information about an amazing small business that is located right here in Jackson, Mississippi that is a fan-favorite to all! We are going to be talking about The Iron Horse Grill, which is southern-style pub with live music and unique craft cocktails.
The Old Iron Horse Grill was built as an amour smokehouse in 1906 and has carried on its legacy ever since. As a true landmark in Jackson, the building unfortunately burned down twice and was abandoned in 1999 after the second fire. Fifteen years later, The Iron Horse Grill was rebuilt and now serves some of the best southern-styled food in the area and is home to their very own museum, the Mississippi Music Experience!
Not only is The Iron Horse Grill a fabulous restaurant in the area, but they also have an amazing catering team and offer their bar services for events. Whether it be a wedding, rehearsal dinner, or corporate event, The Iron Horse Grill would be more than happy to cater or be your bar service for the evening! They do have a separate catering and bar service menu, which can be found on their website. There are also four separate event spaces at the actual restaurant which make for the perfect venue for any celebration!
What makes the Iron Horse Grill so unique and special is their Mississippi Music Experience, which is a museum located upstairs that pays tribute to the birthplace of America’s Music, which is Mississippi! Starting from the 1800’s, you can walk through the exhibit and read all about the history of music while also taking in the life size models of famous Mississippians, provided by International Award Winning Artist Anne Robin Luckett.
The Iron Horse Grill is not only a restaurant, but it is a place where anyone of any age can visit to experience all that the South and Mississippi has to offer.
